LYHYT – URL Shortener Service

LYHYT was a free URL shortening service designed to make long web addresses shorter, simpler, and easier to share. The service provided a straightforward way to create short links without registration or unnecessary steps.

I developed LYHYT using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, focusing on simplicity, usability, and reliability. The service included automatic link expiration, rate limiting, spam protection, and a responsive interface that worked across different devices.

Behind the scenes, LYHYT featured a custom administration panel for managing shortened URLs, monitoring statistics, blocking unwanted activity, and maintaining the service. The project gave me valuable experience in backend development, database management, web security, and building practical web applications.

Although LYHYT was eventually discontinued, it remained a valuable personal project that helped me develop my skills and gain experience in creating and maintaining a complete web service.
